Steilacoom so named for Lake Steilacoom is a wonderful part of the Tacoma area. Located South of downtown Tacoma, beautifully situated along the Nisqually Inlet. The Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is world renowned, located just to the south and is a fantastic way to spend the afternoon, walking along well-worn paths and boardwalks to view the protected animal species. There is even a possibility you’ll see whales!
